The digital transformation is redefining the opportunities and risks of the insurance industry. As the interface with the customer, claims management in particular offers opportunities for improving the customer experience. Tomorrow's value chain is fully digitalized and intelligently networked. With the aid of new technologies, the handling of claims can be expedited and optimized. This provides insurers with an effective tool to cut costs and maximize returns, but above all a genuine argument for the improvement of customer relations. After all, customers expect simple, consistently digitalized and networked processes in claims processing, in the same way they are already accustomed to with Amazon or Zalando.
The challenge: The previous handling of complex insurance claims is highly manual, making it error-prone, laborious and not scalable. Claims settlement documents are diverse, and are manually reviewed, separated and distributed to appropriate agents for further processing. End-to-end automation is a key challenge for insurers. The goal is to assist insurers in accelerating processes, reducing costs and improving service quality by means of automated processes and fully digitalized claims management.
The solution: Eucon digitalizes claims independently of the input channel, document type or claim category. We classify the events using AI, and the machine decides whether a record should be automatically settled or reviewed by specialized experts. In this way, the greatest quantity of claims can be handled automatically in black box processing and directly settled by the insurer. The data is recorded in a structured manner and used to control processes and to reach management decisions.
The result: Scrum-based development and advanced technologies such as cloud and AI are used to automate document classification and processing, while simultaneously delivering potential for added value across the entire operational areas. The intelligent automation of the processes increases yield, efficiency and customer satisfaction, and offers an immediate ROI due to the simple implementation.
