“My work at Eucon is at least as colorful as my former profession as a painter and refinisher.”
When Matthias discusses quotes and invoices on the phone, it is immediately apparent: He grasps – in the truest sense of the word – his craft. Before he joined the Eucon team at the end of 2012, namely, Matthias had gained over 15 years of experience as a painter and refinisher. Whereas craftsmanship used to be part of his duties, he now deploys his expertise at a PC in order to assess trade services. As part of the property damage team, he takes care of the creation of price calculations, price negotiations or invoice verifications, but also issues such as the training of new employees. In these tasks, he not only incorporates his expertise, but also his interest in technology and computers.
One thing is particularly important to Matthias: a varied environment where he is involved and where he can develop. An environment like the one Eucon offers him and more than 400 colleagues worldwide.
“Everyone here has goals in mind and acts in concert.”
For four years, Barbara, now a senior project manager, has worked in Automotive Consulting at Eucon. Both her tasks and those of her department have changed during this time: The issues became more diverse, the projects – as well as the responsibility – more extensive. On the one hand, Barbara and her team support her colleagues from the Sales Department in project initiation, while on the other hand she directs the implementation of the often complex and customized consulting services at the interface between customers, service providers and Eucon. Given her tasks, she moves in an international environment: her team regularly analyzes the market development in nearly 30 countries for a pricing study. This means that the business administration graduate has to simultaneously juggle up to ten projects in different stages of development.
In order to do this, Barbara has to bring a lot of expertise and industry know-how to the table, but also the capacity for teamwork and the ability to respond flexibly to changes. Qualities that are important not just for her, but also for her 400 colleagues at Eucon worldwide.
“From student trainee to automotive expert: Eucon has accompanied my career.”
The career of Benjamin is an example of how tasks and structures at Eucon “grow” with an employee. He came to Eucon as a student trainee. Both sides were convinced after this initial contact that this had the potential for a long-term relationship. Benjamin brought the ideal conditions to the table. As a trained car salesman, he knows the automotive market, and as a mechanical engineer and industrial engineer, he has a passion for data and analyses. At Eucon, Benjamin and his team are responsible as data analysts for preparing and reviewing the market data that constitutes the basis for the business model of Eucon.
Benjamin was convinced of Eucon from the start, too: Teamwork among equals is emphasized here just as much as freedom while working. Aspects that are a priority both for him and for 400 of his colleagues worldwide.
“I used to play with cars. Today I play a part in the automotive market.”
The topic “car” has a special fascination for many people. At Eucon, this is pretty evident, including when it comes to Sebastian, who had already worked at an automotive manufacturer and supplier while getting his dual degree in business administration. His industry expertise now helps him to advise customers and prospective customers. His work as a sales executive is informed by more than just his knowledge of the market and of brands. Creativity, analytical thinking, the ability to work in teams, and the enjoyment of reaching out to people are at least as important.
Qualities that are important at Eucon not only for successful work in sales, but also for the daily teamwork of more than 400 colleagues worldwide.
"At Eucon, I was never just the intern, but always Matthias."
If you, like Matthias, have a deep private interest in computers and software, you already have the best prerequisites for training in Eucon’s IT department. His path led directly from the classroom to his desk. Although to be honest, he’s not at his desk all that often. For Matthias helps to ensure that the hardware is functioning, assists in ensuring that the network is up and running, and is the first responder for many a user when it comes to technical issues. This is precisely what appeals to Matthias about his work at Eucon: He has to be able to deal with people just as well as he can deal with modern technology.
This combination is exactly his strong suit. He also likes the casual tone and the informal “Du” that is good form at Eucon across all departments and levels of hierarchy. Something Matthias appreciates just the way his 400 colleagues worldwide do.
“The whole company is geared to the employees – not just us here in Human Resources.”
For Ann-Marie and her teammates, everything revolves around personnel issues. From recruiting new staff to topics such as staff development and payroll to administrative tasks: The human resources expert makes sure that Eucon can offer conditions in which every employee can work and develop optimally. Ann-Marie’s path at Eucon itself shows how much room for development there actually is: In the summer of 2007, she started at the front desk and later switched to Technical Operations. In recent years, she successfully passed the tests for state-certified business economist specializing in personnel. She completed her subsequent studies as a graduate in business administration and was then employed in her desired field, Human Resources. Eucon supported her at every step of the way.
The fact that she had the space and the opportunity at Eucon to follow her interests and ambitions is what makes Eucon such a special employer for Ann-Marie. An assessment she shares with more than 400 colleagues worldwide.
“We develop our software the same way we do our company: systematically.”
Without tailor-made software, Eucon’ solutions and services would scarcely be so well received by our customers. Professionals such as Oliver ensure that our creative solutions and consulting services exactly fit the needs of users – be it on the customer side or at Eucon internally. In order to do this, a software developer must first have the necessary IT expertise, but also pronounced analytical and problem-solving skills.
At Eucon, Oliver has found an environment that has suited him for more than seven years. When in doubt, everything can be questioned here in order to achieve a common goal. Something both he and more than 400 colleagues worldwide don’t want to do without.
"The only thing important here is the idea. Not the person who had it.”
Every individual contributes to the future of Eucon in his or her area of responsibility. As the assistant to the Director of Research & Development, Gabi acts as an important link between the entire R&D team and management. Independent project management, monitoring and scheduling are basic modules for smooth processes throughout the entire department. Gabi also creates extensive reports and evaluations as well as decision memos. Important decisions, influencing the direction of the entire organization are based upon Gabis accuracy and experience.
Accuracy is a critical success factor for Eucon. That convinces Gabi as well as her 400 colleagues worldwide.
„Between customers and colleagues - that's where I feel at home."
The products that are used thousands of times every day build the core and the figurehead of Eucon. Regardless of the variety of users and solutions, they have to be functional and intuitive at the same time – and that is exactly what Max takes care of. Continuous improvement of the UI and UX of the entire portfolio is a complex matter. Max never makes excuses for extensive and time-consuming adjustments in development. On the contrary: he enjoys implementing what others consider impossible at short notice.
This agility and freedom in the workplace is valued by Max and another 400 colleagues worldwide.
„Can there be anything better than dealing with things on the job that you enjoy in your free time?"
Julian is still very fresh - both at Eucon and at the age of 25. Despite his young age, he is already a trained technical design assistant for media and communication and also an event manager. He works as a project manager in marketing at Eucon since 2017 and is the link per se when it comes to events or graphic design. Thanks to the rapid development of Eucon, he never gets bored. Julian is highly personally committed in immediately visualizing the latest technologies and services to our customers. As a digital native with a strong technological affinity, Eucon is just the right workplace for him, because he can combine his passion with his job.
Whether social media campaign or product marketing - Julian always thinks one step further and drives Eucon as well as its more than 400 colleagues worldwide.
