Eucon joins the advisory board of the ERCIS research network of the Univer-sity of Münster

The Eucon Group, digitalization partner for the automotive, insurance and real estate industries, is cooperating with the international information systems network ERCIS (European Research Center for Information Systems) with the aim of promoting a mutual exchange on innovative topics such as Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.

ERCIS, the international information system network, is headquartered at the University of Münster and consists of researchers and experts from science and industry. As of July 2022, Eucon will be a member of the advisory board of the network, which specializes, among other things, in the fields of Data Science & Artificial Intelligence, Process Science and Smart Manufacturing.

“We are particularly looking forward to the mutual content-related exchange on the innovative topics that the network is addressing. In particular, the institutionalized contact with established researchers, doctoral candidates and students will have a positive impact on Eucon,” says Dr. Jens Brunk, Technical Product Manager in the Real Estate division at Eucon. As a graduate of the University of Münster, Dr. Brunk has already had the opportunity to experience the benefits of the ERCIS network and its international exchange from the perspective of a student and research assistant. Along with Dr. Brunk, a number of other ERCIS alumni work at Eucon and will contribute their expertise to the cooperation. “In the future, we plan to use our role as an advisory board member for greater participation in events of the network and to support ERCIS and the participating universities by contributing our experience and expertise as a pioneer for data and process intelligence in workshops, research projects and seminars.”

Eucon has long been committed to promoting science and research, for instance through successful collaborations in the field of technology scouting. As part of this effort, students have worked with Eucon experts to identify various technology trends and develop possible applications that are now used in everyday work.

Founded in 2004 at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Münster, the European Research Center for Information Systems (ERCIS) is an international research network that addresses the diverse issues of information systems. In addition to the international partner institutions, the ERCIS researchers work together in a trusting relationship with the advisory board, whose members bring current topics from business practice into the network, but also critically discuss the current state of information systems research.
