In keeping with the Eucon approach “Inform – Discover – Perform”, at Automechanika 2014, the aftermarket specialists at Eucon showed how an advance in knowledge and innovative technology can be turned into a decisive competitive edge for parts manufacturers.

Just in time for Automechanika, a PartsPool® test campaign was launched that invites customers to test the leading car parts database PartsPool® until the end of the year at one-time preferential terms. The new PartsPool® online prices select module was met with great interest. The module displays up-to-date information indicating where replacement parts are sold online and at what price. In addition to the RRP, the online price module also enables prices from various online shops to be taken into consideration for monitoring the competition and reaching strategic pricing decisions.

The representation of competitive situations on the basis of KPIs is becoming increasingly important in the industry and means that software-based data analysis is essential. In this context, Eucon introduced interested customers to a new approach combining consulting and software. The solution is based on key figures, which consolidate current and historical prices, references and further information to form focused information. From this basis, systematic pricing strategies can be derived. For this purpose, datasets are aggregated, processed graphically and presented more meaningfully in order to simply visualize areas for action, including for C-parts. By constantly monitoring the correlation of market information with company-specific values and data - such as international sales data and costs - daily business can be ideally supported.

Numerous promising discussions with customers resulted from the innovative solution for competitive, strategic pricing. Here, Eucon combines strategic pricing consulting with the leading price management solution for market-based pricing for the automotive aftermarket, the Eucon Pricing Manager.

The trade fair once again clearly showed that the international demands placed on portfolio and pricing management in the area of automotive accessories have increased sharply. This is due to increasing product variations and complexity and the associated loss of market transparency. Eucon\'s response to these demands: PartsPool® Accessories, the system for efficient product management in the accessories market.

The initiative of the association TEILEn e.V. demonstrated that social engagement can be expressed in solidarity even at a trade fair. The association of more than 50 aftermarket organizations of renowned car parts manufacturers and dealers of the free spare parts market supported Peter Maffay\'s charity for children in need with a major donation. The rock star wouldn\'t have missed personally accepting the check during a visit to Automechanika 2014. In addition, he presented his vision for the foundation to the general meeting, which Eucon also attended.
