With Christmas just around the corner, representatives of the participating companies presented the beautifully wrapped gifts to Michael Kaiser, Managing Director of the St. Mauritz Child and Youth Welfare Center. The campaign aims to support children and young people who come from difficult backgrounds. The children’s wishes ranged from dolls and stuffed animals to soccer cleats and bicycle helmets – personal gifts that will truly make their Christmas special.
“In a world full of challenges, it is particularly important to us to assume our social responsibility and bring a smile to the faces of disadvantaged children and teenagers during this special time,” says Sven Krüger, CEO of Eucon Group.
Every year since 2011, the children and young people cared for by the organization have sent around 150 lovingly drawn and handcrafted wish lists to the Eucon Group at Christmas time, which are then fulfilled by employees of the four participating digital companies. The employees select a wish list and team up with family and friends to make the wishes come true.
“The reliable support of the involved companies means a lot to us. Thanks to their dedication, Christmas will be a very special time of year for our children and young people,” says Michael Kaiser, thanking the collaborating partners and their committed employees.
The campaign is a prime example of how companies can use their active engagement to make a meaningful contribution to their communities – and it goes to show once again that the true joy of Christmas comes from giving.
